The earliest commonly accepted reference to Crowthorne comes from a map made in 1607 (John Norden's survey of Windsor . ...Forest). The map had Crowthorne mentioned as the point where three paths through the forest met. Corus Hotel Bracknell is an excellent base for exploring Berkshire, Thames Valley and London. Originally built in 1860, this elegant Victorian building has been totally refurbished and features contemporary designs. It is situated in the village of Crowthorne and is a short distance from local beauty spots and country walks.
Please be advised that the hotel kitchen will be closed for essential maintenance from 14:00 on Sunday 26th August 2007 until lunchtime on Monday 27th August. During this time, hotel staff will not be able to access the kitchen area and therefore be unable to offer any food. Breakfast on Monday 27th August 2007 will be of a continental basis.
