Your comfort is our aim at this family-run hotel. Bar meals are served each night and only the freshest of ingredients are used. At a recent health inspection, we were awarded 4 stars by Cumbria Tourism. Resting by the A66 motorway for Workington, The Hall Park Hotel is situated opposite parkland and only a 2 minute walk from the town centre which has recently undergone a 45 million pound regeneration project. There are numerous golf courses nearby and we are a good base for the coast to coast cycle way.

A splendid 3 diamond hotel on the Solway Plain close to the lakes, hills and Carlisle. Also close to the Scottish borders, Gretna Green and the Roman wall, river and badlands. Wheyrigg Hall is a family run hotel bar and restaurant set in a rural location. Originally an old farmhouse, the hotel has been converted to provide comfortable accommodation. There is ample car parking and there are two separate function rooms providing seating for fifty and one hundred people so the Wheyrigg Hall is an ideal venue for conferences, weddings or other family celebrations. There is also a spacious dining room, lounge and bar with a homely cottage atmosphere. Well known for its good food, not just locally, but much further afield in this country and abroad, Wheyriggs specialities include succulent duckling, traditional roasted turkey, baked ham in cider and local prime steaks. Home baking is a feature of our scrumptious sweet trolley and locally produced fresh vegetables are used whenever possible. Lunch, high tea and dinner are served daily in addition to our popular bar meals.

Nent Hall has recently completed an extensive million pound renovation which included all of the public spaces and bedrooms. The hotel has also installed a brand new state-of -the-art heating and hot water system (completed in August 2006). The restaurant is open to residents and non-residents from Monday to Saturday, and the head chef serves an extensive table d’hôte menu which changes each night. The menu is produced from excellent produce, most of which is sourced locally. The Coach House Inn offers a very different type of food which consists of traditional English fayre and an excellent grill menu, though still cooked by our rosette standard chefs. This menu changes seasonally to suit the availability of good seasonal ingredients.

All bedrooms contain the usual modern amenities with tea/coffee making facilities, colour tv, hair dryer, direct dial telephones, broadband internet access, luxury toiletries, tourist information, notepads etc. a separate ironing room is available, however executive suites include an ironing station, fresh flowers and complimentary welcome pack (wine, fresh fruit, still water and chocolates). Unfortunately the hotel does not have a lift.
