This former C19th Dudley schoolhouse has been converted into a comfortable hotel with a friendly club atmosphere. In Victorian times, many Himley villagers worked for the Earl of Dudley, and their children were educated in the high beamed room school house which is now a part of the Himley Country Hotel. The old school room has now been extended with a popular conservatory restaurant. The hotel is located on the edge of the countryside and is well known for its peaceful location and quiet bedrooms. Nearby is Himley Hall with gardens landscaped by Capability Brown. An ideal location from which to delve into our industrial past in the Black Country or to explore the beauty of the Welsh Borders.
