The Black Boy Inn is situated within the historic town walls of Caernarfon. Caernarfon is a market town with an open air market every Saturday (Mondays also in Summer). The Inn is within easy walking distance to the town centre, and the famous 13th century Castle. An old Inn dating back to 1522, some of its load bearing walls measure on average 1.2 to 1.5 meters thick (four to five feet thick) and with its wooden paneling, low ceilings, and thick wooden support beams generates a cosy 'Olde Worlde' atmosphere.
The Black Boy is an old inn, so expect creaking floorboards, low ceilings and narrow staircases . It was built in 1552, so come and experience the Olde Wordle feel . It is a very busy inn, especially in the summer as it is situated at the entrance to the Old Town of Caernarfon, just inside the town wall arch.
