Being a family-owned and run Lake District hotel in Windermere, we offer unpretentious service making you feel relaxed, unhurried and a little pampered. The atmosphere is one of comfort and elegance with roaring fires and magnificent oak panelled rooms set in a building rich in historical interest. Our wonderful location gives you the opportunity of stepping onto the Lakeland fells, boarding a steamer on Lake Windermere or visiting some of the many attractions the Lake District has to offer. Yet the hotel is only 20 minutes by car from the M6 and a very short walk from the main bus and rail service. In consideration of our many guests who join us to escape family and business pressures, we are unable to welcome children.
